Re: Corbitt / Rockhold Family Wirt WV

James and Elizabeth (Rockhold) Corbitt were my Great, Great, Great Grandparents.(My name canged from Corbitt to Corbett when my grandfather sent his brother to get his marrage license)James was born in Ireland in 1793.He married Elizabeth on Nov. 20, 1811 by Rev. William Beauchamp (Founder father of the Wirt county seat of Elizabeth) and lived at Beaver Dam (where the beavers built a dam) on Spring Creek WV which is now a part of Wirt County.I am a decendent of James' son, Henry b. Abt. 1820 and married Mary Doolin (Dulin)on June 25, 1838. I undersatnd that Jame and Elizabeth are burried on the family farm but I have not confirmed.Sorry I don't have more on Minerva as I have just started following the other James Corbitt lines.
