Re: Nancy Hall Cordery I.T. 1863
I was delighted to get your message. Thank you so much for your information. Yes, I am Louisa Cordery Anderson's great grand daughter. Nancy Pierce was my great-Aunt Pig. She made wonderful biscuits and chicken and dumplings. Her neice, lillian Leeds, still uses her recipes and treats me to them every time I'm in OK. How are you connected to Aunt Pig?
I have come to believe through other responses regarding Nancy Hall Cordery through GenForum that Wilson kept two wives at the same time. Both named Nancy -- but both also after his first wife, also named Nancy, was dead. Do you know anything about that? It seems to me that Wilson may have been a man who couldn't pass up a woman named "Nancy" and, of course, at the time they were living, there were so many widows and orphans who needed caring for.
