Re: Nancy Hall Cordery I.T. 1863
I am the grand-daughter of Fannie Anderson Haworth, Louisa's second daughter.
If you will go to the Indian Pioneer Papers on the web and look up Andrew Jackson "Jake" Berryhill, you'll find that he says that his mother, Nancy Sizemore Berryhill, was married to Wilson Cordery while they were in the Choctaw Nation in a refugee camp. This is not Nancy Hall and also not Nancy Miller, who was dead by then. He goes on to say that Wilson lived with his mother until she died in the Cherokee Nation in 1894 and that Wilson died in 1893. Now, Wilson was alive in 1893 -- we know that because he testified in front of the Dawes Commission after that. So I don't know what to think, really. I do know that the Cooper Cordery he refers to was my grandmother's Uncle Coop, so it's the same Wilson.
