In his Dawes testimony in 1900, Wilson Cordery states that his wife's father was named Ab Hall (I've seen him listed as Abraham and Absolom by other people).Wilson says he thinks her mother was called Susie.
In supplemental proceedings in the matter of the application for the enrollment of Nancy Cordray as a citizen by intermarriage of the Cherokee Nation, Thomas Cordray (son of Wilson and his first wife Nancy Miller) testifies that Nancy [Hall] Cordery had been married to a Cherokee named Dick Jumper before marrying his father Wilson. Also, he stated that Wilson and Nancy "commenced living together like people did in them times in '62."He also states that they were living in the Choctaw Nation during the Civil War.
Are you descended from Louisa Cordery Anderson?
I am not directly related, but have connections through Louisa's daughter Nancy J. (Anderson) Pierce.
