Cordiner tends to be quite an unusual name. A lot of Cordiners came from the Peterhead area of Scotland.
Just in case you didn't know -I found this meaning of the Cordiner Name
From Old French cordoanier 'Cordwainer, shoemaker'. No doubt became Cord(e)ner. A derivative of Old French Cordon 'cord, ribbon'.
