Re: Corkill-Ziegler family Bible
Hi Mary.Thank you for posting this information.
I'm sorry I'm finding it well over a year later. But, I'd like to ask if there is any indication of where these families lived.Even in general terms, which country they lived in.
My CORKILL ancestors came from the Isle of Man during the 1800's.Evan and Elizabeth CORKILL moved to Liverpool, England, in the 1850's upon their marriage there. They had five children. But, upon the death of Elizabeth, they were placed in the Liverpool Sheltering Homes in 1874, and were "shipped to Canada" in 1875.
Their two youngest were sons, John and Robert, but, as far as I can tell, John married later in life and had no children, and Robert was still single at Age 30.
(I cannot find him past the 1901 Census, so I don't know if he also married later in life.)
So, it appears that Evan CORKILL did not have any CORKILL / CORKHILL grandchildren.
Evan was one of ten children, and I don't remember having found anyone else researching them.
