Re: Coronel in Durango, Mexico
I don't know anything about researching in Arizona or anywhere in the US.My research is strictly in Mexico. However, the same resources I use for Mexico exist in the US: 1. Catholic Church Records; and 2. Civil Records. The Mormon family history libraries have virtually all these records available on microfilm.
If Arizona doesn't allow easy access to Civil Records, then you should look at the Catholic Church records. You can assume that Raymond Coronel and Anacleta Salazar would have been Catholic as were most Mexicans in the 19th Century.
If you know when Raymond Coronel married Anacleta Salazar, then you should look for a wedding record (Church, civil or both). If you know that Ramona Mary was born in Nogales in 1909, then you should look for her baptismal record or civil birth certificate.
Why are you looking for Ramona Mary's social security number?I can't imagine a social security number would tell you anything about Ramona Mary or her parents.
Are there any elderly living relatives of Ramona Mary that might have a recollection about the place of origin of Raymond Coronel?
