beyond 1600
Does anyone have any genealogical information on Cotes during the 1500s. Where they came from? I'm leaning towards Basque, but I need more information.
Also do we know more on the Landroche/Cote connection? Can someone point me in the right direction to get physical documentation on this "dit le Frise". I've seen it on a couple of family sites, but would like to see the "proof". I have found Cotes from the early to mid 1500s and I'd like to make the link to the Landroche name if there truly is one. Which is also why I'm asking if anyone knows wherre they originated.
