We have spoken before, but I just realized that you are also interested in HEWERs. I am almost positive that I saw that name in the Arkell Cemetery, Arkell, Ontario (south of Guelph) when I was looking at COULING stones. Leonard COULING, who came to Canada in 1834, and most of his family, is buried there.
One of his descendants, Gordon Robert COULING was a professor of Fine Arts at U of Guelph. His works are found in many stained glass windows in churches of the area. Also, his collection is in the Wellington County Museum near Fergus/Elora. See the web page about him and/or museum.
