I too am researching this COYLE family who emigrated from County Monaghan Ireland to southwest Wisconsin.

Margaret COYLE bn 1829 at Smithboro, County Monaghan, Ireland was the daughter of Peter & Katherine (CLARK) COYLE.Margaret married John FLANIGAN in Chicago in 1855.They were in Willow Springs, Lafayette Co, WI which is a few miles from Mineral Point.

In 1880 this family was in Sonoma Co, CA, later moving to Santa Barbara before 1900.Margaret died there in 1913.

Margaret's obituary.....
DEATH OF PIONEER WIDELY MOURNED
Mrs. Margaret Flanagan, who was a native of Smithboro, County Monaghan, Ireland was the eldest daughter of a large family, possessed a rugged, sterling character. She was married in early womanhood to the late John Flanagan, in Chicago. The first years of their married life were spend in farming on the, until then, unbroken ground at Willow Springs, in south Wisconsin. Her husband was attracted by the reports of the arable, virgin lands of California.Leaving his wife....[While he was gone] An epidemic of scarlet fever robbed them of their four children.
Joining her husband in California a few years were passed in Sonoma county, when they removed to Ventura and persistently followed farming. ..."
I checked the death certificate in S.B.Date of birth: 5/10/1829; date of death 1/15/1913.Father: Peter Coyle, Ireland
Mother: Katherine Clark, Ireland
My Uncle Bill CLARK told me long ago that he and his father, Sheriff Robert E. CLARK (Ventura County) used to visit a "Mrs. Flanagan who lived on the corner of the Avenue and Santa Clara Street in Ventura."He said they were related, but he didn't know how.
