Clarification: Jeremiah Crabb 13 Jun 1813, KY vs. 13 Feb 1813
Firstly, I would like to THANK everybody who has toiled over researching/documenting and posting their ancestry online to share with others. I wouldn't have gotten as far as I did without all this shared information.
This information was obtained from "Old Northwest Texas. Vol. B Navarro Co. 1846-1860" by Nancy Timmons Samuels and Barbara Roach Knox.
Jeremiah Crabb b. 13 Jul 1813 KY, m. 12 Nov 1835 in Ind. Catherine M. "Kitty" James b. 1817 KY; may have lived Park Co. Ind. 1840 <-----I have reviewed this 1840 Census and found that it is not my Jeremiah Crabb. I came to this conclusion because in 1840, Jeremiah is 27 and Catherine is 24, yet on this census, it has them both over the age of 30.
The Old Northwest book also lists Jeremiah and Kitty's children, Elisha b.1839 Ind, Edward 1841 Ind, Eusebia 1845 Ind, Quinton B 1849, Jerry C (Jeremiah Sutton Crabb)and SC (Sarah Catherine Crabb). <---again, in the 1840 Ind. Park Co Census, there are 3 children listed:
1 male under 5yrs (which could be Elisha 1839);
1 female under 5yrs (Eusebia wasn't born until 1845);
1 female over 10yrs under 15yrs <---- this implies that Kitty had her 1st child between the ages of 9-14 and out of wedlock, since Kitty and Jeremiah weren't married til 1835.
The folowing was obtained from Navarro Co. Cemetery Records Vol 1. Published by the Navarro Co. Genealogical Society, 1981.
Jeremiah Crabb b. 13 Jun 1813 d. 04 Jan 1870
Kitty M. Crabb b. 01 Oct 1816 d. 29 Jul 1895
Therefore, from the 2 sources listed above, I conclude that Jeremiah was born in June and not in February.
