Luther Lloyd Ricks obit (h/o Geneva Athelee Crabb)
BALDWYN -- Luther L. Ricks, 78, died Tuesday at the North Mississippi Medical Center after an extended illness. He was a retired carpenter and a member of the Primitive Baptist Church.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Waters Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. J.C. Burcks officiating. Burial will be in the Prentiss Memorial Garden.
Survivors include his wife, Athelee Crabb Ricks of Baldwyn; five daughters, Anna Lois Mayberry of Memphis, Julia Dean Cooper, Myoka Mae Burns, Linda Nell Mahler and Martha Jean Mahler, all of Baldwyn; three sons, Lloyd Richard Ricks of Pardeanville, Wis., Johnny Paul Ricks of Baldwyn and Robert Charles Ricks of Booneville; four sisters, Blanche Anderson and Clara Short, both of Booneville, Bertie Fair of Wheeler, Ora Mae Conlee of Mantachie; 24 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Honorary pallbearers will be Allen Ricks, Mark Stillwell, Edward Mahler, Robert Kearns, Kevin Kearns and Mike Kearns.
