The only Craft family reunions that I know of are in Indiana. Thomas (Lawrence's brother) is my ancestor and he moved his tribe (along with a couple of his and Lawrences' sisters) to Indiana between 1815 and 1820.I live in Oregon and haven't been able to make it to PA yet.A few years ago my cousin and I spent 10 days in Indiana doing some research there.
It seems to me that with a few exceptions the majority of the Craft's moved westward. Some stopped in Ohio, others kept on moving. They did tend to move in packs though.I guess they never had to worry about not knowing someone in the new area that way.
Do you have any information on Uncle Lawrence? Other than the general 4 daughters and a son who died in infancy. We are trying to prove the Maryland thing for both John and Lawrence. We are just not having much luck. Another one I've been looking into is Lawrence's wife Anna Thompson. I was trying to figure out their migration path. I figured that Lawrence met Anna somewhere along the journey but I'm not sure who her parents are or exactly where she came from yet.I haven't spent a lot of time on her though.
This family sure is a hard nut to crack!
