Hi William:
Happy New Year to you!I too am at my wits end trying to find my ancestors. The Isabella that I have listed is on the 1891 census as being 4 years old.
It has taken me about 8 years to find my grandmother Christina Craig who immigrated from Scotland. My grandfather was younger and so he lied about her age on the marriage and death record.
My great grandfather Thomas Craig was illegitimate born 22 May 1850 but whether he had brothers, sisters etc. I don't know.I had to find his record through a christening that was listed. He was born in Mearns, Sct.Parents Robert Craig and Marion Hamilton.I have not found them. However, I did come across a Robert Park Craig who sort of fit but no verification.
It sort of struck me that you would be looking for a William Park Craig.
My Great Aunt Agnes m. Stewart Christie, they came into US one year prior to my grandmother.Lived in NY had a bed and breakfast.Granite Springs. My grandmother died when my dad was 7 yrs old.No contact with the Craigs at all.
Thomas Craig m. Janet MacDonald 1875 Glasgow, Sct.He worked for the railroad.
I guess we're both going to be searching a while.
Good luck.
Janet
