My Mary A. [Jones] Crail was living with son John in 1880. He was the family caretaker, I guess. Sister-in-law Catherine lived with his family for a few years. Then again, John may have needed the care. His health deteriorated badly and cradually from the side-effects of a "bad cold" contracted during the Civil War.
It could be that the Mary E. in the Lock household was the mother of Hannah [11] in the Crail household.
