Hello Carol,
Thank you for the info. on Henry Cranage, this now confirms that it is not our Henry,as I think I've mentioned he married my grandmother in Brisbane, Q.ld, Aust. in 1898 and I do have the marriage certificate. Have you any knowledge of a linkwith Hassell/Hassall in your family line, they seem to have moved regularly as my g,grandfather Thomas Cranage did from Lanashire,Liverpool to Norfolk areas. Great grandfather was Thomas Cranage born approx.1810/12 married to Eliza Hassell d.o.b. 1815.and I think his brother Joseph married Eliz's sister Georgina on the same day 20th June,1836 at Saint Nicolas, Liverpool, Lancashire. I have found the family again in Lowestoft on the census up until 1871, but feel after Elisa's death I think in1861 he went back to Liverpool slso have found no mention of when Henry came to Australia. I would be most graeful for any information on this fame line.
Many thanks and happy hunting. Patricia McCulloch.
