Haven't spent much time on the Crawfis side; been spending more time on my direct lines of Baker & Hall. There are two places on-line where Gary Crawfis has posted a little more info: http://www.genealogy.org/~palam/iadat001.htmhttp://www.genealogy.org/~palam/iadat001.htm
One real roadblock is the number of possible spelling for "Crawfis"--one of the sites above lists seven variations.
I have a copy of "Putnam County Pioneer Association Centennial History".There are a couple of paragraphs of "reminiscences" from Otho.He mentions a brother Henry and a brother L.V. Crawfis (is that Lewis?)
If I stumble across anything about Crawfis in Germany, I'll let you know.
