In the 1920 publication History of Randolph County, Missouri..
Margaret (Crawford) Rowland notes her Grandfather being

"Col. William Crawford, a native of Virginia, who served
as colonel in Washington's army during the Revolutionary War and was
killed by Indians..."

The ColWilliam Crawford,born in Berkeley county, Virginia, in 1732 and served under George Washington ??? Anyone know his children's names ?
