HANNIBAL - Marjorie Alberta (Crawford) Sohn, 87, Apt. #134, 3840 West Ely Rd., Hannibal, Missouri died at 11:40 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2005, at her home.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 4, at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal. Pastor Eric R. Mattson officiated. Burial was at Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal.
Mrs. Sohn was born March 25, 1918, in Mount Sterling, Ill., to Charles E. Turner and Lillian Belle Crawford. Marjorie lived the first five years of her life in Mount Sterling, Illinois with her grandmother, Margaret Jane (Fowler) Crawford Norvell. She came to live with her mother, Lillian Belle (Crawford) McAfee and her step-father, Charles Thomas Mahlon McAfee in 1923 in Hannibal.
She was married to Henry Sohn on May 10, 1941, in Hannibal. He preceded her in death Nov. 17, 1973.
Survivors include one daughter, Sandy Fischer of Winston-Salem, N.C. and a step-daughter, JoAnn (Sohn) Morris Zinn; two grandchildren, Dana Stebler of Austin, Texas, Robin Hollis of Winston-Salem, N.C. and a step-grandchild, Michelle Ann (Morriss) McSparren; four great-grandchildren, Sophia Hollis, Henry Hollis, Shelby Stebler , Nathan Stebler and a step-great grandchild, Ryan Bland; a half sister, Mary Caroline (Turner) Klasse of Mount Sterling, Illinois and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her step-fathers, Charles Thomas Mahlon McAfee and Arnold Estill “Boots” Shores; two half sisters, Juanita (McAfee) Stanley and Emma (McAfee) Stanley Ulry; and four half brothers, Jerry Ray McAfee, Charles Junior McAfee, Henley Porter McAfee, Eldon L. McAfee Sr. and Edward D. Turner.
Mrs. Sohn worked in the lab at the Hannibal Rubber Plant for a number of years and also in the office of Hannibal Junior High School. In her retirement she worked part-time for Martin’s Tru –Value Hardware and Mark Twain Antiques in Hannibal. She was a member of Arch United Methodist Church and belonged to the United Methodist Women's Club in Hannibal.
Memorial contributions may be made to Arch United Methodist Church, in care of the James O'Donnell Funeral Home of Hannibal.
Pallbearers were Gary McAfee, Dennis McAfee, Bruce Cull, Scott Stebler, Thomas Hollis and Ronnie McAfee.
