I am the grandaughter of William Houston. I spoke with my grandfather regarding this & it was very fascinating hearing about it. He was telling me how his grandfather, Arthur "Ott" Creason told him about Jesse & Frank James hiding out at his fathers house when they were on the run. I believe his name was Gilbert Creason, he was a blacksmith. My grandfather told me how Jesse and Frank would hide out at his Great-Grandftathers for several days at a time. He said they would take off by horse in the middle of the night and do their theiving, robbing and murdering and show up a few nights later to hide out again. He said his Great-Grandfather lived in a township of Kirksville, Missouri, (Elbers Knob (sp)). His uncle Jesse James Creason is named after "The Jesse James" due to a pact being made with Jesse James mother and Elvira Creason, my grandfather's grandma. I believe Gilbert Creason was married to Martha Creason and they had four kids with Arthur "Ott" being the youngest.
