Is Mary Vermillion in that book?I believe there was another wife and I don't have the name here in front of me, but she was after (Sarah)Jane and I am not sure that all the children accredited to Jane I. were hers.In fact, I believe that she was also a Sarah, possibly Sarah Harmon. In the 1880 censusfor Hamblen Co. Family#419 is Benjamin,63;Sarah,40.We know that Sarah Jane was not that much younger than Benj.It lists: Eliz.J,21;Laura A,17;Angeline,11;Albert(?),9;Flora,8; Marion,6;Robert,4; Hattie,9/19 Later #419 lists Minerva,28;Charles,4;Hyatt,8/12 #409 is Geroge,25;Mary19;Martha,3. #380 is my Ggf,James H.,33;Mary E.,28 and Enoch B.,11;Orval R.,10(My GF,but it's O.L.);Marona J,7;George R,5;Laura E.,3;Bertha E.11/12.#381 is John W.,34;Mary A.,33 with Jessie L.,10;Lillian V.,8;William F,6;Minnie R.,5;Paul G.,3.#418 is Margaret,81. #420 is William,36 and Sarah C.,27; Sarah J.,13;Thomas,11;Dolly B.,8;Johnnie E.,7;Hester A.,5;Rebecca A.,3;William B.,2; Lydia J.,1/12. According to Marsil Creech, Mary V. wasn't a definite. I will try to find who mentioned Mary V. to me.She interests me even tho Jane is my GGgm. Obviously, Benj.(SR) had children up into his later years if he was 63 with children 8,6,4 and 9 mos. The "Abbot" mentioned in the book, was B.A.(JR),and was a Justice of the Peace as his father was. There was also Orville, or Orval, no longer alive in 1880, because my grandfather was named for him and Sarah Jane Creech Rhea whose death certificate I have.It names Benjamin and Jane Ingram as her parents. Thanks for writing, please keep in touch.
