The facts of this article does not match a lot of my research.
The Creecy Brothers (Levi, John, Job, Thomas, and ? possibly Joseph) were thought to have shipwrecked around 1680 - and there is record of the Creecy surname in several counties around the Albemarle Sound in the early 1700's.
Also available online at the North Carolina Digital Collection is the Elizabeth Moore family bible.
Elizabeth CREECY (1767-Feb 9, 1838) whom I thought to be the daughter of Levi Creecy Jr and Mary Charlton - but I cant find my source info at the moment.
married CHARLES Moore (1759-1806)
The had a son named William C. Moore who died a day before his mother Feb 8, 1838 (Henry's Uncle, not Grandfather) - and a daughter Mary C. Moore - "wife of Henry Gilliam - and daughter of Charles & Elizabeth Moore, departed this life at the Bedford Spring Pennsylvania on the 19th of August 1830."
They also had another son Augustus Moore who was also a judge, whom Henry Augustus Gilliam lived with after his mother Mary died.
You can read a tribute about Henry A. Gilliam on google books
