It is interesting that you mention the Moravian Church. In studying the history of the Yadkin/Pee Dee river I have read some of the biographies of Daniel Boone who grew up on the Yadkin. In the biography the author refers to records of the Moravian missionarys who visited the Boones sometime in the mid 1700's. I don't know where these types of records are kept within the Moravian
church - but they apparently still exist. I mention this as a possible source for some research. The Moravians have a website which details some of their history. I forget the exact date they came to North Carolina but in my previous research I believe it was something like 1750s.
Incidentally - do you know what the Holders were doing - what occupations did they pursue? What was their religion? The Creed line I have been pursuing seems to be Baptist.
