It seems logical that Wesley Creed would have had other children born between 1843-50.Before and after this period they seemed to be having children fairly regularly at about two year intervals.Diseases like cholera could sometimes nearly wipe out a whole family.Diptheria etc killed many children. Since Matthew b ca 1850 is not listed in the 1860 census it seems probable that he also died as a child.
Where did you get the names Homer, Isaac, Howard and Fred?
In the 1870 census it does look like that name is "Malitta" age 4.But in the 1880 census I copied the following:
Wesley Creed 56 NC NC NC Allie 56 KY KY VA Perry 19 IN NC KY Laura 16 IN NC KY Matilda Parker 14 IN NC KY "single-stepdaughter"
This was most likely taked from the Soundex records which are famous for mistakes, and the original should be consulted.
Some of the children of Wesley's brother Martin are found in later Morgan Co IN census records.
I have the 1900 census records for Thomas V, Mahlon and Perry in Morgan Co IN.
