James Madison Creel married Tamar Fielder c1831, probably in Lauderdale Co., Alabama. Their son Andrew Jackson Creel married Nancy Adams(her name from estate records at Greene Co. Courthouse) in Greene Co. c1870. Their son John W. Creel married Texana(Tech) Fielder, 1-16-1904. Lizzie Opal Creel was 14 years of age when she was placed under a guardian in 1908 - taken from probate records in Greene Co. Courthouse. Believe she was the only daughter of William Morris Creel(Andrew's brother) and his 2nd wife Sarah Rhoue(Rhone?), married 3-6-1892 in Greene Co. Lizzie was born in 1894. The Creels of Fulton Co. are related to the Greene Co. Creels, but the lines split at John Creel, 1732-1785. The Fulton Co. Creels descend from John through his son Thomas while the Greene Co. Creels descend from John's son William, Thomas's younger brother by 14 years. I am descended from James Madison Creel's son James Alexander Creel, born in Hardin Co., TN, in 1854. The family ferried across the Mississippi in 1859 to Greene Co. The Fulton Co. Creels(two brothers at least) left Alabama after the Civil War.
