Re: Ebenezer Crown b. 1780
Looking at the 1810 and 1820 censuses for Topsham, Ebenezer appears in each. But in each case there is one male between 25 and 45 and one male over 45.An Ebenezer born in 1780 would fit as the younger male in each census, leaving the elder as the likely father of Elizabeth Crown who married Charles Morrison.
There is a public tree in ancestry.com that indicates that Ebenezer b. 1780 was the son of John. But that tree also indicates that John died in 1798.That would beg the question of who the older Crown would be in the 1810 and 1820 censuses. So my guess is that there probably was an Ebenezer and Ebenezer Jr (with Jr b. 1780).
I cannot find an Ebenezer Crown in 1790 or 1800 censuses. Can you ??
