Isaac Green Croy was my mother-in-law's great uncle. Her grandfather was William W. Croy. They are two of the eight children born to John Croy and Mary Houseworth - who eloped while their parents were doing farm chores, according to family folklore.I have a Croy family history book, about 90 pages. It mainly focuses on the William Croy family that moved from Ohio to Illinois and then to Advance, Missouri in 1901 when the swampland was being cleared of its timber. I believe he and his sons were lumberjacks at the time.If you are interested in a copy of this book, please email me. I am in the process of scanning the pages and will be able to put the files on a disk or as email attachments.
I am interested in any information about John Croy or Mary Houseworth and their ancesters. My information stops with this couple.
