In 1639 we have Allin De Cude living in what is now New Kent VA. By 1671 we have James Coade living in Somerset Co. MD and in 1672 John Coode in St. Marys Co. MD. John Britton, bc 1672/3, is the first of the line; he was living in Henrico Co by 1684 not far from the Childers who are also AS7E (They came from Leeds, Yorkshire). By 1741 we have a John Britton living next to George Horner, in Old Frederick Co. VA. Timothy Cude's parents moved about eight miles away, about the same time. The Allreds were in Old Frederick Co. MD. living near one of John Coode/Cude's father-in-laws land parners, Thomas Albin.
Elizabeth Britton I found DNA results at Y-search for two descendants of Timothy Cude which indicate that Cude belongs to the AS7E subgroup of I1. It is also a close DNA match for one line of the Allred family. This line does not match other ALlreds, but the most distant male ancestor, John C. Allred, was born c 1794 and lived in Randolph Co, NC. His mother is presumed to be Catherine Allred who married Isaac Odle in Randolph Co in 1802.My interest, by the way, is that my Britton family belongs to the AS7E, subgroup and I hope to identify clues to his English origin by tracing other AS7E families.
