Two Samuel Cummins

By David Cummins June 19, 2012 at 10:10:41

There are two Samuel Cummins that have managed to mess up
the lines to the immigrant. One I will call Surry Samuel, born about
1750 in PA, question mark and died in Surry Co., NC in 1799.
The other I will call Guilford Samuel, born 1722 in NC and died
in Guilford Co., NC in 1826.It is possible that they were cousins.

The Surry Samuel tracks to THE Charles (Samuel,Thomas Edmond,
Francis, THE Charles). The Guilford Samuel tracks, via Robert Calvin
from MO to NC but born in 1772 and does not work with THE Charles.
It might work as a son of John, the son of William, but there is no
Samuel in that time frame with William and sons. There is a Samuel
born 1759, son of James Alexander that provides no support.

Or, perhaps the Guilford Samuel is not even in the THE Charles tribe, but researchers have put him there.

The proven parents of the Guilford Samuel will help.
