Free Y-DNA test for desc/o Conrad CUPP (1781-1820s) of OH
I'm here offering a free 67-marker Y-DNA STR test at FamilyTreeDNA to any male surnamed CUPP who descends on a patrilineal line from this Conrad CUPP:
http://dgmweb.net/FGS/Cu/CuppConrad-ElizabethCroninger.htmlhttp://dgmweb.net/FGS/Cu/CuppConrad-ElizabethCroninger.html
that is, the one born in 1781 in Northampton [now Lehigh] Co., PA, who married Elizabeth CRONINGER and moved to Fairfield Co., OH.
For me to fund the test, the subject will need to share his patrilineal line paper genealogy in suffient detail that I am assured he is Conrad's patrilineal line descendant. He must join and remain a member of the CUPP Y-DNA Surname Project at FTDNA:
http://www.familytreedna.com/public/cupphttp://www.familytreedna.com/public/cupp
and he must sign the Release allowing his results to be shared and displayed publicly. That doesn't mean his identity will be publicly know, only that I and FTDNA will need to know it.Please see my privacy policy in this FAQ:
http://dgmweb.net/DNA/Cupp/CuppDNA-FAQs.html#privacyhttp://dgmweb.net/DNA/Cupp/CuppDNA-FAQs.html#privacy
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
I'm doing this because I don't see any other way for us to securely sort out the KOPP/CUPP families that immigrated to the U.S. in the 18th and 19th Centuries. Please join in this effort.
