I am posting this for my wife, Rosemary, whose grandfather was Frank(Francesco)Curci,
born Nov 8, 1897. If your Curci family were from Ischia, your are likely kin to my wife.
Frank Curci died 4/22/1994. He move to the USA in 1920, after serving in the Italian
Navy in World War 1. The old home that he lived in as a child was close to the Ischia Castle in an old multi-level stone apartment
(for want of a better word). We went to Ischia with him in 1992 and the sites were shown to us. He had a good memory of recent and remote memories. He had been a fisherman on Ischia and in America became a fish wholesaler and did well. He had a brother that moved to the USA and married a woman from Procidia, Italy. Another brother died
in WW II in the Italian Navy when his ship was sunk by a British submarine. The family
immigration pattern was from New York to San Pedro California. No connection to Algeria is known. Does this info match any thing you know.
