You may be interrested to know that I am French, living in NY Upstate, as an expatriate for business reasons, and proud of my French genealogy.
I am going backward up to Laurent TESSON who died before 1743, father of Francoise TESSON who married in 1744 Francois FERRE.
They both are from the lttle town of "Beaulieu-sous-La Roche" in Vendee, France (the ancient province of "Bas Poitou").
If you look at your Dainard genealogy, one of your ancesters is Honore TESSON, born in the same little town than my Laurent TESSON.
It is likely that our two families are connected each other arround 1700.
One of my cousin, Francois-Xavier FERRE who still live in France, is investigating for this connection.
Hope I will have some news soon.
