Re: Hello, Spilsby Daniel fans
Likewise, if Sally is between 55 and 60, and Spilsby is between 60 and 65, then they could be as little as 2 years apart. Sally is said by some to have died in Overton County, TN in 1859 at the age of 92, while Spilsby died in Clinton County, KY in 1852 at the age of 87. This would place her birth year at 1767, and his at 1765. If these dates and ages are correct, then Spilsby and Sally would be would be 75 and 73 in 1840. Since these two married in 1784, if the Spisby in the 1840 census is their son, he would be at best 55, not in his sixties, thus the Spilsby in the 1840 census is someone else's son, possibly Wyatt. Unfortunately, several Daniel generations and lines had Spilsbies, so we may be on a tangent here.
