announcing the Darbison/ Darbyson DNA testing project
The Darbison/ Darbyson DNA testing project was begun on St. Patrick's day, 17 March 2006.
My name is William "Bill" Morrow, I'm the Group Administrator. My wife's mother was born a Darbison, hence my interest.
Only living males born with the surname Darbison, Darbyson or other spelling variations are eligible to be yDNA donors since the testing is of the DNA of the Y chromosome which is passed from father to son(s) virtually unchanged over the eons.So it follows that when two or more living males born with the surname Darbison or Darbyson match yDNA test results, it is proof positive they descended from a common ancestor. The ancestors name is unknown, but the lab can predict how far back he lived according to how close a match occured between the donors. Then the donors can compare research notes to zero in on their common ancestor, or at least have new avenues of research.
Any living male born with the surname Darbison or Darbyson is invited to join. The more the merrier. We hope to establish various Darbison/ Darbyson lines of descent, via yDNA matches between donors.
Anybody can sponsor a living male born with the surname Darbison or Darbyson.Email me for particulars
