my great grandfather, Millard Bertwistle Darrow, born 1864 in Howell married my great grandmother, Melinda Barnard of Shepard Michigan in 1889.His family previously lived in nearby Pickney, including four sisters Ellen (b. 1850) Matilda (b. 1854), Susanna (b. 1856), Elizabeth (b. 1858) and according to one source a brother (William b ? after 1864?).I know that Millard B.'s father was Millard F. Darrow (b 1824 in NY) and his mother was Ann Bertwistle (b England 10/?/1825)(d.5/23/1870).That's the Howell connection that I know about.
