Re: Chris Dart Son Of Jan Dart, from Phil Betros
Chris, my name is Phil Betros and I was a friend of your dad (Jan) and mom (Carolyn) and a visitor to your home in Big Rapids when you were much younger.I have looked for him recently on the internet.I doubt you remember me yet it is through your posting on this site that I learned of your dad's passing in November 2000. He and I last spoke in the fall of 1998 before I moved to Hawley, Pennsylvania.Jan was a fine man and a very generous friend to me. He will forever remain one of the treasures lodged in my memory. We wrote and recorded some music together in the mid 1990s.He was quite a prolific writer and recorder and I hope the family has been able to preserve his work/life/love for the ever that would certainly please him.If you find this message someday I hope it finds you well and would you please say hello to your mom Carolyn for me.She too was ever gracious and welcoming to me.All the best to all of you "kids", Chris - Jennifer, Jan, Genesis, Rebecca, Susan.Phil Betros, Hawley, PA (570) 685-3785 (June 21, 2006).
PS, the only genealogical information I can offer you is that I had a cat named Musty (short for the moustache marking on her nose) who had kittens in 1994.Your family took in one of the kittens who went on to guard the garage on Bjornson.
