Re: William Darwin of Louisa: Jr. or Senior?
If possible, could you possibly clarify something for me, as I am getting quite confused! In the book by Bill & Bonnie Darwin, "Darwin Year 2000" on pg. 4 of their introduction, they state: "The purpose of all this is---we put it simply, that Thomas Darwin (living 1679 and probably 1695/6)is the son of William Darwin of Cleatham (will dated 4/13/1644) and came to America with Edward Bland in 1647.
Further that William Darwin(living 29 August 1679 under age) son of Thomas Darwin (living 1679 probably 1695/6) and grandson of William Darwin of Cleatham (will dated 4/13/1644) is in fact the William Darwin Senior in Hardy's deed to Darwin (10/31/1746) at Louisa, VA."
Is it still assumed that the William Darwin who married Jane Wilkerson the son of the above mentioned Wm. (and wife Jean)?
Thank you for any clarification.
