William H. Davenport and Ethel M. Davenport-Alcina Ave. Toronto Ontario Canada
Ethel Davenport was either a Bernardo Home Child named Ethel G. Gladwell(born 1893 in London, England)when she was sent to Canada in 1904 or her sister Maud Ethel, who was known to use Ethel Maud as her name. Maud Ethel's maiden name was Herbert and she was born May 5th, 1903 in London, England.
Yes they were full sisters but some how Ethel Georgina Herbert's last name was changed to Gladwell her mother's maiden name when she was sent from London to the Toronto area.
Maud Ethel(or Ethel Maud) might have come to Canada about 1930 to live.
One of these sisters married a Davenport. I found an Ethel M. Davenport married to a William H. Davenport(baker) with a daughter Margaret(Peggy) living at 92 Alcina Avenue, Toronto in 1942. I was also told one daughter was an artist. And that a Terry Davenport died as a young boy when he was hit by a milk truck.
I'ld like to ask the descendants of this family questions about the sister or sister, as well as give information about the whole family before they got to Canada.
