Re: Who are Isham Davis' (b.1758 NC) parents

Isham Davis from Anson Co. grew up and married Elizabeth Ingram in Anson Co.There were three or four Isham Davis's who fought in Revolutionary war.Isham Davis who married Winnefred Broughton Woodard was from South Carolina.They moved to Buncombe NC area.There are several sources who claim he was a minister and traveled in Kentucky etc.This appears to be true, butno definate proof.He died in NC as did his wife.I have copies of their Revolutionary War Pension applications.
