Miles Harper Day (1833-1912) and sons Morton John, Herbert. Horace and Guy
Miles Harper Day was a son of John Day and Sebbina Logsdon, born Hancock County IL 1833 died Sierra County NM 1912.He married Emma Jane Morrison (1839-1929) and they had four sons and one daughter:Morton John, Horace Greely, Harbert, and Guy Harper Day, and Carra (Caroline) Lascelles Day.I am the grandson of Guy Harper Day.I am seeking any information about his siblings, and about the "Harper" relationship (that shows in the middle names of Miles and Guy.)This Day family moved from Illinois to the St. Louis area and one son moved to Ohio.Miles left his family in St. Louis and went to New Mexico Territory in the 1880's to make his fortune in silver. He failed in that, but he never went back to St. Louis. He is buried in Chloride, NM.If anyone is researching any related line, please let me know [email protected]' grandfather was also a John Day who shows up in Mercer county KY tax records in 1790 and we think he was born in Maryland and moved to Kentucky as a young adult. That link is still unconfirmed.
