Re: William Death 1527 - 1590
Hi Laurie and thanks for answering. My primary source (which, of course, isn't really primary) is "Death, D'eath, Dearth Family in Maryland, Pennsylvania and Ohio
1742-1982 by Mary Mae Campbell A SENSE OF PLACE Northwest and West Central Ohio" Volume One 1982.She seems to have some pretty serious documentation.Documentation for Sophia Simmons and parrents and spouses is found in "All Hallow"s Parish" register 1700 # 12201 page 21, Maryland Hall of Records, Annapolis Maryland.More records of James Death family in Harford County Protestant Episcopal Church Records, St. Georges Church, Perryman, Parish Register 1681-0799, Maryland Historical Society Baltimore, Md.(See A Survey of American Church Records, Allen Co., Museum, Lima,Ohio.
Mrs Campbell lists James Death as the probable father of Thomas, James, WIlliam, John and Charity Death (Charity was supposed to have died as an infant in England.Thomas, the oldest son was supposed to have inherited the entire estate, which Mrs. Campbell assumes is the reason for James Jr., William and John immigrating to America. She has a good deal of research on the Simmons family (back 2 generations) with good references.I'd be very happy to send you copies of appropriate pages for your use, if you e-mail me and send me your land address.I am Kay Hain KHain10352@aol.com
