I haven't really been working on this line very long. Its an offshoot of my Tipton line which also originated in Bedford and Somerset counties.
So, if the Casper married to Catherine was the grandson of the first Kasper, who was his father?I think I'm missing a whole generation.
I have a marriage date for Casper Defibaugh and Catherine Mischler of April 22, 1754.Don, is this correct for the mariage you have in Lancaster Co.
My line is through daughter Elizabeth, b. February 5, 1759 in Lancaster Co., PA, d. September 28, 1854. She married Frederick Hill on April 1, 1779 in Bedford Co., PA. (He was b. April 13, 1745 in Baunschweig, Germany and d. May 2, 1838 in Bedford Co., PA.(I have quite a bit on the Hill family, Frederick took his brother's place in the British army, was stationed in Canada, crossed the river over the ice and fought for the revolution the rest of the war. From "Abstracts of Rev.War Pension Files" he deserted the British Army on June 14, 1777 and joined the American Army, later enlisted in Bedford, PA in 1780. Applied for pension April 1, 1834.Elizabeth applied for a pension as a widow on Aug. 21, 1847)Our Hill history states that Elizabeth's family moved to Bedford Co. from Lancaster when she was eleven. They had 12 children.
Unfortunately I only know the names of 3 of their children:
Jacob Hill b. March 17, 1781, d. 1845
William Hill b. abt. 1807
James Hill d. abt. 1835
Jacob Hill married Rosena Elizabeth Byer, daughter of Frederick Byer and Rosena Lantz. She was b. February 23, 1798 and d. November 24, 1859.
Their children were:

Don, I've got more on my line, children's names, etc. E-mail me if you want it.I would be interested in seeing some of the Bedford, Somerset Co. information as my Tipton line has been at a dead-end with James' father Noah and grandfather Noah. Actually it would be the Cumberland 1768/69 records that may hold my answer. Let me know where I can find it.
Thanks,
Jeane
