Genealogy Domeno Konotey-Ahulu family to 1670 AD
Dear De Heer Family: Please look at my Family Tree back to 1670 AD http://www.konotey-ahulu.com/images/generation.jpghttp://www.konotey-ahulu.com/images/generation.jpg and you will find that those who had Sickle Cell Disease - (known in Fante as nwiiwii; in Twi as ahotutuo; in Ewe as nuidudui; Ga tswetsweetswe; Dagbani as dobakotiri;) - are marked "R" for cold season Rheumatism in my geneological tree. They were (are) those who had inherited an ACHE gene from both father and mother, making them ACHEACHE like two brothers and one sister of mine were. The remaining 8 of us children of my parents are NORMACHE or NORMNORM and we, like our NORMACHE parents have no problem with cold season rheumatism. I wonder how many of the De Heer family have nwiiwii (ACHEACHE)? Take a look at www.konotey-ahulu.com or www.sicklecell.md and learn from the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's)and the BLOG's. F.
