Starla:You don't know what I mean by "family lines"?When a man has more than one son and they both or all have children their offspring constitute a "Line".In the case of the DeJulios, all the families go back to one man b. ca. 1669.For several generations there was only one male descendant per generation til finally two brothers were born who both lived, married and had children of their own.You descend from one of these new lines and my husband descends from both. That is, his grandfather came from the family of Loreto DeJulio and his grandmother was a descendant of Francesco Paolo D.J.Your gr gr gr grandfather was also Francesco Paolo.
There were many marriages between the two lines of 2nd, third and 4th cousins but it's far enough away that you shouldn't let it worry you.
