I'm looking for any information anyone might have on Dennings in the Bristol, England area in the late 1700s and early 1800s.
Ancestor Margaret Dinning was born in Bristol, England around 1814 (one source says December 27, 1813, another says January 2, 1814), married 1833 in Wolverhampton, Staffordshire, England to George Anson. She had at least one sister (name probably Rachel Ann), and a father born circa 1792 (first name unknown, but possibly Joseph). We have no other information about her family.
It is possible she may be related to families in Ireland, namely Thorington and/or Watson. She may also be related to a family named Granville in England (Plymouth area).
From other posts here, it looks like the name Denning is common in the Bristol-Somerset area. If this information sounds even vaguely familiar, I would appreciate any help.
