I am just starting to research my Dean family background ( John Antoine Dean, his father John S. Dean) and saw that my this name is somehow associated with the DesJardin family tree. But when I try to look for this name on some of the online Trees, I cannot figure out this connection.
Thanks to a response from another post, I received lots of information back about the Chouinard family who had marriage ties with the "Deans".But I cannot seem to find specifics about my great great grandfather John S. Dean who married Julie Manseau in Peshawbestown MI around 1854. My great grandfather John Antoine Dean was born there in 1855.
The name "Dean" could possibly have been anglicized when some of the family relocated to NH as "John Antoine Dean" married "Alphonsine Chouinard" in New Hampshire in 1875.
If anyone has birth and occupation information about "John S. Dean", and how he fits into the DesJardin Tree, I would really appreciate it.
