Hi. I'm not related to this family. Here is a possible marriage for David & Eleonore from the Quebec, Vital and Church Records (Drouin Collection), 1621-1967:
David Roy dit Desjardins (Joseph Roy dit Desjardins & Adelaide Beaulieu) m. 15 Feb 1847 St-Pascal, Kamouraska County, Quebec Eleonore Ouellet (Joseph Ouellet & Marie Genevieve Landry)
Here is the baptism for their son, Bernard:
Jean-Baptiste Bernard Desjardins, b. 7 Nov, bap 7 Nov 1857 St-Andre, Kamouraska County, Quebec, son of David Desjardins, navigateur, and Eleonore Ouellet.
Here is the marriage for David's parents:
Joseph Roy dit Desjardins (Joseph Roy dit Desjardins & Marie Reine Chouinard) m. 5 Jun 1820 St-Andre, Kamouraska County, Quebec Marie Adelaide Beaulieu (Jean-Baptiste Beaulieu & Marie Julie Michaud)
This is interesting to me because Marie Adelaide Beaulieu's parents are MY 4th g-grandparents.Although David Desjardins was a sailor (navigateur), he was not born in France, but in Quebec. And unless Denyse was born in Quebec she probably was not related to this family.I could not find a birth record for Denyse Rose Desjardins in Quebec.I found a birth record for a Marie Delima Roy dit Desjardins, b. 16 Apr 1857 St-Louis, Kamouraska, daughter of Pierre Roy dit Desjardins & Henriette Michaud, and although this Roy family is related to David's, it is a cousin relationship, and not very close.Hope this helps.Annie
