Brein Dit DeRochier
hello, I trying to get more information on my grandmothers side who's surname was DeRochier out of Minnesota. The surnames I'm looking for are Joseph Rondeau and Josette (Joset) Beaulieu, (3rd Greatgrandparents) all I find for them is that they were from French Territory, Canada but buried in Crookston, Minnesota.
My Great grandmothers surname was Emelie (Emely) Lacrosse and her parents were Andrew Lacrosse and Marie Parent, Quebec, French Territory, Canada. Looking for information on them.
My 3rd GreatGrandfathers name was Charles Brein Dit DeRochier I was told his side came from Brittany (France) they immigrated from Ireland under the surmane O'Brien then sometime they immigrated to Canada and somewhere the surname was changed to Brein Dit DeRochier I do not know how true this holds but I was told this was common way back then when people were exiled to Brittany (France). well if this is not true please educate me on the Brein Dit part of the surname. Thank You
