For the new generations try the following sources if you still live in the area of Lawrence. The library will or should have the city directories. The City Directories although time consuming will help you build the families and they will also provide you with dates of death. For example if someone died in 1957 then the 1958 directory will show the date of death on that person.
If you have ancestry or can access it at your library then check out the Mass. Death Index 1970 to 2003.If any of your ancestors died between those dates then you will be able to obtain. You can also check the Social Security Death Index which is online at several sites (no cost).
Once you have found a death of your ancestor after 1930 then you can check the old newspapers at your library for their death notice/obit.This will give you any surviving members of the family that you might not be aware.
Your City Directories if you have access to them will be your biggest asset.Good luck.
