Photo ca 1876 - Mrs. S.J.B. Dibble, Hartford CT
I have been given several "Visiting Cards" from a friend who purchased them at an auction. I am attempting to contact someone from the direct line of Mrs. S.J.B. Dibble and pass on her photo.
The card is approximately 2 1/2 inches by 4 inches and these cards were given when wishing to visit someone. The front of the card is a photo of a middle aged to elderlywoman. Handwritten on the back, Mrs S.J.B. Dibble, 1876.Additionally, printed on the back, *R.S. DeLamater, Hartford, Conn. *(known photographer)
*(probable candidate)
1860 Bridgeport, Fairfield Co., CT census:
Dibble, Squire J. B. Dibble 39 yrs. Bookkeeper b. CT
*Elsie A. 35 yrs. b. CT
1880 Bridgeport, Fairfield Co., CT census:
Dibble, S.J.B. 59 yrs. Bookkeeper b. CT parents b. CT CT
*Elsie A. 56 yrs. wifeb. CT parents b. CT CT
I am an avid genealogist for my family and know how wonderful it would be to have a photo of any member. I hope that you can assist me with any information that may be helpful in reaching a direct line descendant of Mrs. S.J.B. Dibble.
